How to Remove the Airbag from a Volkswagen Polo

Before starting, sit in the driver's seat of your Volkswagen Polo. Begin by unclipping and removing the upper cover of the steering column. Next, rotate the steering wheel ninety degrees to the left. This will expose the rear screws that secure the airbag to the steering wheel, which you need to unscrew and remove. Once the rear screws are removed, gently pull the airbag away from its housing to access the airbag connector, which you must disconnect. After completing this step, you can finally remove the airbag, successfully finishing the disassembly.
