How to Remove the Roof Panel of a Beetle/New Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

How do you remove the roof lining of a Volkswagen New Beetle? This video shows you how to proceed. Start by removing the side handles of the headlining with a screwdriver, then remove the sun visors and the overhead lighting unit located in the panel. If the car is equipped with a sunroof, you must open it before removing the panel. Once everything is disassembled, detach the headlining around the perimeter of the car's roof. Once the panel is free from clips, you can pull it out of the vehicle. Be careful when removing it as it may break.
