The procedure to reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Tiguan requires the car to be off with the instrument cluster on. At this point, you need to press and hold the 0.0 button located in the centre of the instrument cluster. While holding it down, press the button that starts the car: this will display a message asking if you really want to reset the Service light.

By pressing the 0.0 button again, the light will be correctly reset, and you can verify that the reset has occurred; finally, you can turn off the instrument cluster.
