If you want to independently remove the gear knob inside your Volkswagen Polo Mk4, simply follow this guide and apply the described procedure. First, engage the handbrake and completely switch off the vehicle, then place the gear lever in fourth gear.

At this point, remove the protective cover located at the bottom and use pliers or a flat screwdriver to take off the safety clip present. Finally, pull upwards and firmly on the gear knob to detach it.
