How do you deactivate Lane Assist on the Volkswagen Arteon?

In order to deactivate Lane Assist on the Volkswagen Arteon, you need to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the ignition switch: once the latter is turned on, you can press the button located at the end of the lever on the left side of the steering wheel. This will bring up a screen where you can find the "Lane assist" option: next to it, there will be a square with a check mark, which can be removed by pressing the OK button on the right side of the steering wheel. This way, the instrument panel can be turned off.
