Today's steps will show us how to disassemble and replace the thermostat of the Volkswagen Golf 1.6 16V, following the instructions below. First, we open the hood of the car and start disconnecting the radiator hose, letting the coolant drain into a container; then we disconnect the hose from the thermostat and unscrew its fastening screws to detach and remove it, as shown in the video. At this point, we install the new original thermostat, securing it correctly and making the necessary connections; then we top up with the new coolant!
