How to adjust the handbrake in the Volvo 240?

In this tutorial we can see how to adjust the handbrake in the Volvo 240, an extremely simple and quick operation. First of all, park the vehicle on a flat surface with the first gear engaged, then go to the rear seats and remove the ashtray. Then remove the small glove compartment, locate the adjustment nut, and, using a long 17mm socket wrench, tighten it until reaching the desired tension level. Finally, test the new adjustment on a suitable road and in complete safety.
