To complete the manual reset procedure of the service light on your second generation Volvo XC90, simply follow the steps outlined in the following guide. First, enter the vehicle and make sure it is turned off before starting the service light reset procedure.

Next, insert the key and start the instrument panel, then press and hold both the stereo volume down button (located on the left side of the steering wheel) and the brake pedal. Wait for the service light reset to complete and you are done.
