How to Remove the Door Panel

Model: Volvo S70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000

This video shows you how to remove the inner trim panel of a Volvo S70 door. First, disconnect the battery. Lift and remove the small plastic cover located in the small compartment of the armrest. You now have access to a screw for the door panel. Remove it with a screwdriver. Use your fingers to detach the trim around the door handle. Now, using a lever, detach the door panel by working on multiple points of the panel. Also remove the small panel at the height of the wing mirror, then slide off the door panel, which will remain attached to the door only by the connectors (speaker, window lifter, lock). When you decide to reattach the panel, retrieve any plastic clips that remain attached to the door and replace them on the panel. Reconnect the connectors and reposition the panel in its starting position, ensuring it adheres well to the door. Reinsert the central screw located in the small compartment of the armrest and cover it with its small cover, reattach the inner door handle trim, and reposition the triangular mirror panel. Finally, reconnect the battery.
