How to change the battery in a Volvo XC60 key fob? Let's see how to disassemble it. Take your ignition key and use a screwdriver to pry between the two plastic halves until the cover separates from the battery cover; remove the dead battery with a small screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage.

Reassemble the two parts of the key fob cover until you hear the locking click.

Check the proper functioning of the key fob by testing the door lock and unlock buttons.
