Brake Pad Replacement

Model: Volvo Xc90 MK 1 - Years 2002-2014

Lift the vehicle on a lift and remove the front wheels after removing the protective caps from the mounting pins. Unscrew the mounting pins of the brake caliper support located at the rear (if necessary, use a pipe as a lever), remove it along with the caliper from the brake rotor, and extract the old pads. Remove the mounting pin of the rotor from the hub and the rotor itself (if necessary, give it a few taps with a hammer). Using a C-clamp, compress the caliper piston to accommodate the new pads. Then, install the new brake rotor, insert the new pads into the caliper, and reattach it along with the corresponding support, securing the pad retaining spring.
