Removing the Original Car Radio

Model: Volvo S70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000

No special tools are required to remove the original car radio. On the side edge of the stereo, at the bottom, there are two extraction elements that need to be pressed to release them: two handles will pop out, allowing you to pull the stereo out simply by tugging (be careful not to scratch the gear knob).
Once the stereo is out of its slot, disconnect the connectors by pressing on the respective locking tabs, and remove it completely for any necessary repairs. Then reconnect the plugs, insert it back into its slot until fully seated, and press the extraction handles to lock them back in place.
