How to Replace the Key Battery on a Volvo V40

Model: Volvo V40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2012

Start by opening the silver button on the front located at the top of your Volvo V40 key. This will open the physical key. Next, unclip the rear cover of the key by simply pulling it towards you. Once you have removed the rear cover, you will access the exhausted battery. To remove it, simply take it out of its housing, and the disassembly will be complete. Now, to install the new battery and close the key, just follow these instructions in reverse, and the replacement will be successfully completed.
