Removing the Instrument Cluster on a Volvo V50

Do you want to replace the instrument cluster on your Volvo V50? Here’s how to remove the instrumentation located on the driver’s side dashboard. Remove the instrument cluster trim using a plastic lever (without breaking the plastic clips) and detach it from the dashboard. Undo the screws on the sides of the instrument cluster trim: disconnect the power terminals of the instrument cluster. After removing the instrument cluster from the dashboard, prepare to install a new part or reinstall the same one (repair the instrument cluster if necessary). Tighten the securing screws and refit the cover trim.
