Remote Key Shell Repair

Before commenting on the video, note that you can purchase new remote key shells online for a few dollars, available for every make and model of vehicle. That said, the video demonstrates how to repair the edges of the remote key shells using two-component resin: the first step is to disassemble the remote itself. Open the metal key, detach the rear cover that houses the battery, and remove the Torx screw that secures the key holder to the remote to separate them. Then, take apart the two shells by extracting the battery and the electronic circuit. At this point, use two-component resin to reconstruct the edges of the shells by inserting a plastic sheet inside to act as a barrier to prevent the resin from penetrating inside. Once dried, remove any excess and shape the edges with a utility knife. Reassemble everything.
