To replace the battery in the key fob of a Volvo XC90, you will need a new battery of the correct type, specifically a flat CR 2032 3V battery, and a small flathead screwdriver. Take the key fob of your car and slide the lever on the metal latch at the end of the case to open one of the side covers of the fob, revealing the metal key inside. Flick the small lever located near the key to open the cover on the opposite side of the fob; at this point, remove the battery cover and proceed to extract and replace the battery.
