Operation: How do I replace the remote control battery of the Volvo V40?

The way to replace the batteries of the remote control of the Volvo V40 is identical to that of the remote control of the XC60, C40 and other similar models. The type of battery to be used in this remote control is CR2450: this is a button battery of slightly larger dimensions than the standard. We start by sliding down the spring button located on the bottom of the remote control and at the same time we pull off the emergency blade, as shown in the video. We use the back of the blade to pry and open the remote. Now that the battery is exposed, it can be removed and replaced with a new one and then closed the remote again and repositioned the emergency blade.
