How to Replace the Front Headlamp Bulb of the Volvo V40

Here’s how to quickly and safely replace the front headlamp bulb of the Volvo V40. Before you begin, remember that this maintenance task must be performed with the vehicle completely switched off. Go to the front of the vehicle and lift the bonnet. Remove the safety rubber grommets and unscrew all the screws holding the headlamp in place using a Torx spanner. Once done, gently pull the headlamp towards you and disconnect the electrical connector. At this point, simply replace the faulty bulb with a new one and reassemble everything correctly.
