The procedure to adjust the handbrake on a Volvo 940 is quite simple. This video tutorial will guide you through the process independently and in just a few easy steps.

The first step is to fully lower the handbrake and remove its cover; to do this, pull down the protective tab. If you cannot do it by hand, you can use a plastic tool to lever it off. The second and final step is to rotate the nut that holds the bolt; this can also be done without tools.

After rotating the nut fully and tightening the bolt, you can test that the handbrake is well adjusted.
