How to Reset the Service Light on a Volvo S40?

The procedure to reset the Service light on the Volvo S40 requires you to hold down the button on the central left of the instrument cluster, below the speedometer and to the left of the central screen: you need to keep this button pressed while the instrument cluster is off. This way, you can insert the ignition key into the switch and turn it to switch on the cluster: while continuing to hold the button, wait a few seconds for the light to turn off. After the procedure, you can turn off the ignition again.
