To replace the timing belt on a Volvo S80, open the bonnet and detach the cover on the left side of the engine block. You will also need to loosen the bolts securing the right front wheel and the corresponding wheel arch.

Once these components are removed, loosen the bolts securing the tensioner, completely removing it and sliding the belt out of its housing. When the new belt is in place, reinstall the tensioner, ensuring everything functions correctly.
