In this video, you can see how to remove the black plastic cover of the external rearview mirror of the Volvo XC40: the first step is to remove a small plastic cover located behind the rearview mirror. You can do this gently with your hands.

Next, remove the second cover of the panel on the windshield, which can be taken off from one side using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching the plastic or glass. Then, apply pressure on the sides to remove the entire cover.

Underneath, you will find the front camera (important to know if you need to replace it later). This is a component that should not be disturbed unnecessarily, as the tabs are not very sturdy and could loosen, causing noise.

Reassemble everything in reverse order.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?
