Replacing Engine Spark Plugs

Model: Volvo S60 MK 1 - Years 2000-2009

Using a 30 lb-ft torque wrench, remove the screws securing the left upper plastic engine cover. Take off the cover. Check the timing belt for any signs of damage or wear. Remove the upper engine exhaust manifold. Disconnect the rear electronic cable from its seat. Remove the remaining part of the engine cover. Disconnect the spark plug power cable. Remove the upper securing screw and then take out the spark plug. Use a small vacuum to clean the spark plug hole. Remove the old spark plug and replace it with a new one. Check the correct gap between the spark plug electrodes. To protect the spark plug, it is advisable to apply a special stick to preserve it, increasing its lifespan and reliability.
