How do you remove and replace the timing belt on an Alfa Romeo 159? Follow these steps: lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Once these operations are complete, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Use a fixed spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket spanner, undo the securing bolt of the tensioner pulley, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket spanner. Finally, refit all the parts in reverse order.
