How to Replace the Damaged Fuel Pump on Alfa 156

How do you replace the damaged fuel pump on a 156? Remove the rear seats to access the compartment dedicated to the fuel pump. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap, then remove it from its seat; cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to soak up any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation pipes from above the pump. Unscrew the plastic nut that secures the pump in the car's tank. Extract the fuel pump from inside the car's tank. Install the new replacement pump with the necessary components. Start the Alfa 156 engine and test its operation.
