How to Replace the Window Regulator on an Alfa Romeo Mito

To replace the window regulator on an Alfa Romeo Mito, start by removing the door panel. Take off the outer part of the door handle, then remove the courtesy light under the panel by prying it from the right, pulling it out, and disconnecting the plug. Unscrew the two screws on the left side of the panel, then remove a Torx screw after taking off the cap behind the door handle. Unscrew the Torx screw at the bottom of the door handle, and remove the rear cover of the rearview mirror by unclipping it from the top. Begin pulling the panel from the side of the rearview mirror towards you and then to the opposite side. Before removing the panel, disconnect the door handle cord by releasing it to the right, and while holding the cord, remove the yellow cover from its seat. Disconnect the courtesy light cable, and while still holding the panel, disconnect the connector for the window regulators and mirror adjustment by pulling the red tab to the right and removing the connector, allowing you to take off the panel. Now you can remove the door cover, disconnect the window regulator connector by moving the tab to the right and pulling out the connector. Next, unscrew the two screws, one on the right and one on the left, that hold the glass to its mechanism and remove the glass from the top. Once the glass is removed, unscrew the nuts that hold the window regulator mechanism and motor; after removing the nuts, you can take out the mechanisms and motor through the larger opening of the door. With the mechanism removed, install the new mechanism through the same opening, ensuring the motor is on the right and the cables are on the outside, and screw in the nuts. Now reinstall the glass by passing it from the top and attaching it to the mechanism, connecting the motor connectors. For reassembling the door panel, proceed in reverse order to disassembly and check the correct operation of the window.
