Firstly, it is necessary to remove the cap of the new diesel filter. The filter can be unscrewed by hand, but if it is difficult, an oil filter wrench should be used to unscrew and then hand-tighten the filter. Firstly, detach the water sensor from the old filter by applying some pressure on the clip attached to the filter and pulling downwards. Once the water sensor is removed, unscrew the old diesel filter counterclockwise, with a bowl placed underneath as some diesel will spill out. Once the old diesel filter is removed with the bowl underneath, remove the water sensor to insert it onto the new diesel filter. At this point, all that remains is to install the new filter by hand-tightening it clockwise and connecting the water sensor cable.

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
