How to Replace the Diesel Filter on the Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD

First, remove the cap from the new diesel filter. You can unscrew the filter by hand, but if it’s too tight, use an oil filter spanner and then screw the filter back in by hand. First, disconnect the water sensor from the old filter by pressing the clip attached to the filter and pulling downwards. Once the water sensor is removed, proceed to unscrew the old diesel filter by turning it anti-clockwise. Place a container underneath as some diesel will spill out once the filter is removed. After removing the old diesel filter, keeping the container underneath, remove the water sensor to fit it onto the new diesel filter. Now, simply fit the new filter by screwing it in clockwise by hand and reconnect the water sensor cable.
