Today, we will go through the steps to replace the engine oil and oil filter on an Alfa Romeo 147 with a 1.9 JTD engine. First, open the bonnet of your car and start unscrewing the engine oil filler cap; then lift the vehicle to unscrew the oil drain screw, allowing the oil to drain into a container for about ten minutes. Next, unscrew the oil filter cartridge using the appropriate tool, replacing it with a new one; screw it in by hand and then tighten gently. Finally, pour in the new engine oil!
