How to replace the engine oil and filter on an Alfa Romeo 147? Follow this guide to proceed with the replacement: open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Unscrew the cap on top of the engine head; lift the car on a column lift and unscrew the bolt of the oil sump (let the oil drain into a container). Using a socket wrench, unscrew the oil filter, remove it and position a new one, ensuring it fits snugly around the thread. Lower the car to the ground. Remove the cap on the engine head and top up with new oil.
