How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter on an Alfa Romeo 147?

To change the engine oil on the Alfa Romeo 147, open the cap located in the front bonnet so that air pressure helps expel the old oil. Then lift the car on a ramp or axle stands and remove the closure plug from the oil sump. If necessary, you can use a penetrating spray. Allow the engine oil to drain into a container while removing the filter located right next to the sump. You can also use lubricant if needed. Install the new filter and close the oil sump that should now be completely drained. Finally, lower the car and pour in the new engine oil.
