Changing the Engine Oil and Filter on a 2006 Alfa Romeo 159

In this video tutorial, you can see how to change the engine oil and filter on a 2006 Alfa Romeo 159 with a damaged drain plug. To reach the oil sump bolt, you need a hex key; remove the engine mount, then use a hydraulic jack to lift the engine and position it above the chassis bar; place a container for collecting the used oil under the oil sump, unscrew the drain plug and wait for all the oil to drain. If the plug on your car is damaged, replace it with a new one without over-tightening; then reassemble the engine mount. Now, unscrew the old oil filter using a filter wrench; replace the old seals on the oil filter, screw in the new oil filter (initially by hand, then finish with the filter wrench). Remove the hydraulic jack and add engine oil (0W-30 for 4.6 litres).
