How do you replace the water pump and timing belt in an AUDI Q5 2.0 TDI?

Attention, replacing the water pump and timing belt on an Audi Q5 2.0 TDI is not something to be taken lightly, but if you have some experience with mechanical work, I'll give you an idea of what to do. Disconnect the battery and lift the car, then remove the wheel and dismantle the components that obstruct access such as the bumper and belt protection. You need to loosen the timing belt, to do this remove the various bolts that hold the pulley and cover in place. Then remove the water pump and replace it with the new one. Reassemble the belt making sure it is tight and aligned. Finally, reassemble everything and check for leaks. The operation requires patience, so don't rush, but if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact a trusted workshop.
