How to remove and replace the starter motor of the 2014 Audi A5

The removal and replacement of the starter motor of a 2014 Audi A5 is a rather complex operation to perform independently but still achievable thanks to our video tutorial. We begin the removal of the motor by opening the front hood and removing the engine cover. Then we disconnect the mass air flow sensor. Using a t25 key, we unscrew the two screws on the air filter box cover to open the cover, remove the filter, and proceed with the removal of the box by releasing the sides and unscrewing the fixing bolts; we also remove the air tube to have more space to work. Keeping the front hood open, we place the jack and safety stands near the right front wheel to lift the car and remove the right front wheel. Using a 10mm key, we unscrew all the nuts that secure the fender and remove it. Using a t20 key, we remove all the bolts that secure the lower cover of the vehicle so that we can remove it. Using a 12-point star key, we unscrew the bolts on the engine support bracket, using the same key we unscrew the two bolts on the sensor 02 in order to have a complete view of the starter motor. We unscrew the two bolts on the bottom of the starter motor with a 16mm key and using a 12mm key we unscrew the bolt on the top of the starter motor, then we disconnect the starter motor connector in order to remove it completely. To insert the new starter motor, we must perform the reverse procedure, so we connect the connector to the new starter motor, screw the bottom and top bolts of the starter motor to secure it. Using a 12-point star key, we mount the sensor 02 by screwing the bolt with the same key it is possible to mount the engine support nuts. We mount the lower cover of the vehicle by screwing the bolts with the use of a t20 key, then we mount the previously removed fender and mount the right front wheel, then we lower the vehicle to the ground. After bringing the vehicle back to the ground, we mount the air filter box inside the front hood; we insert the box and screw the screws using a t25 key, insert the air filter that can be the one previously removed or a new filter, close the box cover and connect the air tube. We connect the connector and close the engine cover. After closing the front hood of the vehicle, we start the vehicle to test the operation of the starter motor.
