How to replace the rear brake pads on an Audi A4 B8.
Model: Audi A4
B8
- Years 2007-2016
Replacing the rear brakes on an Audi A4 8B requires attention due to the electric handbrake, which can be retracted mechanically but requires a specific procedure; however, it is always advisable to do this using a diagnostic scanner to avoid the risk of irreparably damaging the piston. We block the front wheels, lift the rear, remove the wheels, clean the brake caliper, unscrew the brake caliper, and then detach it from its bracket: we will hang it from the suspension or the body. We inspect the caliper bracket, the guides, and the dust boots and replace them if they are worn or damaged, then we remove the old brake pads and the retaining springs. We clean the piston and retract it by turning it clockwise while pushing it in. We clean the caliper bracket of any rust and dirt, then we install the new retaining springs. We apply anti-squeal paste to the back and the lateral sliding points. We install the new brake pads, reassemble the brake caliper, apply a thin layer of copper grease to the hub surface where the disc rests, and clean the brake disc to remove any traces of grease and dirt. We reassemble the wheel, repeat on the other side, and then bring the car back to the ground. We deactivate the handbrake service mode. We check the brake fluid level, then pump the brake pedal several times until we feel strong resistance, allowing the pads to reposition.

How to Replace the Key Fob Battery for an Audi A4
How do you replace the battery in the key fob of an Audi A4? Let's see how to do it in detail: take your remote and press the button to release the metal key (if present). Once extracted, use a lever to separate the two covers (as shown in the video). Remove the dead battery from the compartment (after separating the two halves of the covers), take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the plastic battery holder into the remote cover, then insert the metal key back into the cover. Check the remote's proper functioning. by ScegliAuto More videos
