How to Remove the Parking Brake Button on a BMW X5

Model: BMW X5 E70 - Years 2007-2013

Let's see in this video how to disassemble and remove the electric parking brake button located on the center console trim of a BMW X5. Position the gear shift knob vertically, then use a plastic trim tool to remove the center console trim. Next, use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the panel that includes the brake button, then remove the panel with the button as shown in the video. Finally, install the new brake button kit onto the center console as previously disassembled. Test the proper functioning of the button.
