Once a certain mileage is reached, it is necessary to replace the timing chain; let's see the procedure on the BMW 3 Series 2.0 328i. First of all, we open the hood of the car and start removing the plastic engine cover for protection; then we disconnect all the electrical connectors of the coils, as shown in the video. At this point, we lift the car and remove the timing cover, thus accessing the chain; we take the necessary references for the replacement of the timing chain, installing the original one. We check the wear of the other components and the water pump, replacing them if necessary.
