After reaching a certain mileage, it is necessary to replace the timing chain; let's go through the procedure on the BMW 3 Series 2.0 328i. First, open the hood of the vehicle and start removing the plastic engine cover; then disconnect all the electrical connectors from the coils, as shown in the video.

At this point, raise the vehicle and remove the timing cover to access the chain; take the necessary references for replacing the timing chain, installing the original one. Check the wear condition of the other components and the water pump, replacing them if necessary.
