But what if you cannot buy a new battery at the moment? Here’s how to proceed: first, use the emergency key located inside the remote to unlock the vehicle via the driver’s door lock.

Once inside, the vehicle will indicate that the remote battery is flat, but if you press it a second time, it suggests holding the remote close to the steering column, where the key symbol is located.

Now the vehicle indicates that it has recognised the key and you can start the engine.
