How to Replace the Key Battery of a BMW

Replacing the battery in a BMW key is a straightforward task. First, remove the emergency metal key, which is now mandatory on all remote controls. Next, insert the metal key or a flathead screwdriver into the upper slot. Then, remove the battery cover to take out the old battery. Insert a new battery and refit the cover. Finally, place the metal key back into the remote.
