How to change the battery of a BMW 1 Series key fob? Let's see in this detailed video how to do it. Take your key fob and slide the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use the same key or a screwdriver to pry open the key cover. Pry until the two pieces separate from the cover, then use a screwdriver to remove the battery, replacing it with a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on the key fob until you hear it click into place. Finally, insert the metal key back into the fob. Check the proper functioning of the key fob.
