How to Change Key Battery on BMW 1

Need to replace the flat battery in a BMW 1 key? Here’s how to disassemble it. Take your remote and press the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to detach the plastic cover of the key battery. Remove the battery with a screwdriver, replace it with a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the plastic cover onto the key remote until you hear it click into place. Insert the metal key back into the remote. Check the operation of the remote key with the buttons.
