Change Key Battery on BMW 1 Series

How to change the BMW 1 key battery? Remove the plastic covers of the key to replace the battery. Take your remote and slide the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use the key or a screwdriver to pry open the key cover. Pry until the two pieces separate, then remove the battery with a screwdriver. Replace it with a new one of the same size and voltage. Test the key battery charge by checking its functionality. Replace the battery with one of the same type and size.
