Changing the remote battery is necessary when the central locking of your BMW 120d stops functioning with the remote control. In this tutorial, you will learn how to carry out this DIY operation. First, extract the metal key from the remote block; it is located on the side and can be removed by applying force. To change the battery, you need to access the circuit board inside the casing. To do this, open the cover into two sections by levering with a flat screwdriver in the slot at the centre of the two halves. Replace the battery and reassemble the parts to complete the operation.
