How do you use the automatic transmission?

If we are beginners in using automatic transmission, this video is for us; even if not everyone drives the splendid BMW in the video, and automatic transmissions are certainly not all the same, they still have common features that we can consider. Naturally in cars with automatic transmission, the left leg is not needed, because there is no clutch; furthermore, all automatic transmissions have in common on the selector the positions "P" "R" "N" and "D". "P" stands for parking and is used when the car is stopped and parked. "R" stands for reverse, and depending on the type of transmission, a button is pressed or the selector lever is moved. "N" stands for Neutral, which is the "neutral" of manual transmission cars, and finally we have "D" which stands for Drive, which is used to put the car in motion. There are also cars with paddle shifters on the steering wheel, which would be a kind of "manual transmission" if you want to play a bit. With the right lever you shift up and with the left one you shift down; the paddle shifters take precedence over manual transmission, meaning they can be used at any time with the lever in "D", while if you move it to "M" (manual) then the car only goes with these.
