Remove the fuel pump on a BMW 3 Series? First, disconnect the battery cables. Then, remove the rear seat cushions using the appropriate removal tools. Use a socket wrench to remove the screws securing the metal cover (if present), take it out of its place, and cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to catch any fluid leaks. Unscrew the clamp securing the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Extract the fuel pump assembly from its location along with any attached components. Finally, install a new part.
