How to replace the battery of the key fob for your BMW 1 Series? Take your key fob and extract the metal key (located inside); once the metal key is removed, use a screwdriver to separate the two covers; when you hear a click, it means the cover is open.

Remove the small battery and take a new one of the same size, then replace it. Refit the two cover parts of your key fob (by pressing) until you hear the locking click.

Check the proper functioning of the key fob with the appropriate buttons. -Screwdriver.
