How to Reset the Service Light on the BMW X1?

Model: BMW X1 E84 - Years 2009-2015

From the instrument cluster of the BMW X1, you can completely turn off the Service light by turning on the instrument cluster, inserting the ignition key into the ignition switch, and pressing the appropriate button next to the steering column: once the cluster is activated, press and hold the button on the bottom left of the cluster to access the menu. Lowering the lever on the left of the steering wheel will allow you to scroll through the menu until you find the entry with the kilometers remaining until the next service: then you need to press and hold the BC button located on this lever to ensure the Service light turns off.
