How to Reset the Service Light on the BMW X1?

Model: BMW X1 E84 - Years 2009-2015

From the BMW X1 display, you can completely reset the Service light by turning on the ignition, inserting the key, and pressing the button located next to the steering column: once the instrument cluster is on, you can press and hold the button at the bottom left of the cluster to access the menu. By lowering the lever on the left of the steering wheel, you can scroll through the menu until you find the option showing the miles remaining until the next service: then, you need to press and hold the BC button on this lever to ensure the Service light resets completely.
