How to Change the Headlight Bulb on a BMW 1 Series

To change the headlight bulb on a BMW 1 Series, stop the engine and lift the bonnet, then reach the back of the headlamp unit. Remove the access cover to reach the bulb holder, disconnect the power connector and free the bulb from its holder by turning it or releasing the clip, depending on the headlamp configuration. Pull out the worn bulb and insert the new compatible replacement, taking care not to touch the glass with your hands. Next, reposition the locking system, reconnect the electrical connector, and close the headlamp cover. Finally, turn on the lights and check that the new light point works correctly before closing the bonnet.
