How to replace the headlight bulb on the BMW 1 Series?

To replace the headlight bulb on the BMW 1 Series, remove the inner cover of the wheel arch corresponding to the headlight containing the bulb to be replaced. Once this cover is removed, unscrew the screws securing the headlight from the inside; then, open the bonnet and unscrew all the bolts securing the front bumper at the top. When this is released, slide the headlight out of its housing by disconnecting the rear connectors: now you can open the headlight, remove the bulb, and replace it with a new one.
