Replacing the Electric Power Steering Motor on the BMW 1 Series

The instructions in this guide will show you how to remove and replace the electric power steering motor on the BMW 1 Series. First, raise the vehicle and disconnect the wiring of the power steering motor. Then, disconnect the power steering from the front half shafts by unscrewing all the screws, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the entire electric power steering unit, repair it or replace it with a new one; reassemble and correctly connect the new electric power steering, checking its proper operation.
